Many people have no idea how important trucks are. Travel motorways at night and it's mostly trucks hauling food to keep people alive. Truckers should, like other frontline workers, be rewarded far more.

Glad I retired from it all twelve years ago! Great video mate, cheers!

Going to miss those videos mate. Good luck in finding something/someone prepared to treat you as the professional you are. Take good care and stay safe.

Hats off to you, you lasted longer than i would have. Thanks for taking us on your journey though, i thoroughly enjoyed it. Best of luck!

Good luck to you fella you got out before the Rut gets to deep I was a wagon driver for over 40yrs at first you are a name as time goes on you become a number, my ole fella was a driver the apple never fell very far from the tree!!! he was never happy me going down the same road (pardon the pun) as him, he always called it a dead end job, and guess what he was right I’m sure there’s a few of you out there think the same way best wishes to all drivers either retired or still pedal pushing.👍

It’s either in the blood or it’s not mate, for me I did the job for 45 years and I have to say that I loved it, I’m retired now but would go back to it in a heartbeat. All the best to you pal .

I really enjoy your videos and commentary  thanks for entertaining and informing us of the enjoyment frustration of driving over the last few months.

I’ve watched your videos from the start , I’ve enjoyed every single one of them ,everyone a true account of how things are in the trucking industry and life on the road .
Very true what you say “a school boys dream “  passed my test at 21 , seen the true reality of the industry and never drove again , i am now 58  , i kept my licence going in case i was ever desperate to make money, call it a safety net !!! Fortunate for me I haven’t needed it  yet.
Good luck for the future what ever you end up doing.
I hope it’s not to long before you are back on YT, even if it’s  just for a catch up .
Take care mate it’s been a pleasure 👍

I know what you mean about hours worked and pay per hour. Like you I have always loved heavy commercials either working on them or driving them, but I was really glad to finish. So good luck in what ever you decide to do and also for putting these videos up, I have really enjoyed watching them.

Never mind driving, you need to do voiceover work that accent and dry humour is quality, keep em coming.

It's just not worth the heartache, long, long days and poor pay. It's a no brainer you made the right decision

I'm sad to hear that this will probably be your last HGV video as I've enjoyed every one. That said, I can understand your reasons for stepping away from the job. Thanks for the content.

Thankyou for making us Enjoyable Videos and wish all the Best for the future!

Look around at all the drivers driving British trucks and that’s why the money is crap because they will do it for crap money.

I'm a retired driver(38 yrs), I would never do a job that is 4 on 4 off, for the reasons you have highlighted in the video. I have always had a job that was hourly paid, and got paid night out money and a food allowance every day. I worked for Turners(Soham) for the last 13 years before I retired, and not once was I pushed to my maximum hours on a daily basis, that choice was always left to me as long as I made my delivery time. I worked on the food tanker division, doing both wet(liquid sugar, treacle, syrup, orange juice and wine) and dry powders(sugar and flour) on both European and UK work, and despite what people say about Turners, they paid a reasonable wage, yes we would have liked to have more but I couldn't complain and they treated you well.

Sorry it hasn’t worked out for you but at least you tried. Will miss your videos and look forward to watching your next venture. Very best of luck for whatever you decide ❤

And they wonder why no one wants to do the job and so many of us with a licence have jacked it in .

God bless you pal. Hope you find what you love. Great vlog hope you get another video up soon

I know the exact feeling you've been going through. Us wagon drivers spend so much time on our own witch means plenty of time to think about anything and everything. And when you've got 1 issue with the job that's bad enough but 2,3 or 4 things your not happy about. You'll finish every day even more deflated about it than the last. Add to that how were all treated or not treated  by security/gatehouse w**k**s.. good luck with finding something you enjoy and. Ill stay subscribed n look forward to any new videos u put up in the future.
Take care , drive 🙂

Sad to see these vids go mate ive watched every single of one them good luck in the future mate.
