Best advice is to listen to what Peter has to say in the vid and ignore all the anonymous online commentary posted in here from clowns, who want to give you their amateurish interpretations of what Peter is teaching. 🙂
Stumbled upon this gem! Video is 10 years old, but probably the best and informative than any current. Peter’s simple and logical instruction will transform your game!
I just watched a video Pete Cowen teaching James Robinson. Simple brilliant explanation of using gravity in the golf swing and use of hands to stabilize the swing and shoulders for shaping shots.
At first I didn’t know how to do that, but I stayed with his teaching and really it is awesome. Gravity to get the position needed and the compound effect. So far I have been able to get great distance for me, but excellent accuracy.
Pete you are a genius and the worlds best coach no doubt. Your uncanny way of explaining the ‘feel’ of the shot with just words and demonstration is just sublime and one needs to listen very carefully and pick up on the gems that you are dishing out every time you speak. Thanks to you based on one of your best videos about right wrist compression, I was able to make my swing more effortless instead of always scooping the ball like a manipulator
This is great! If there is a magic move to get rid of bad hooks this is it. For Mike Austin fans: It's starting the downswing by "spinning the meatballs". As Austin said: That's what you're playing golf, you're throwing that clubhead around a circle with your hands. Before I understood this I was fighting bad hooks when I wanted to hit it hard. Like Pete says: I grabbed it. By "spinning the meatballs" as a downswing trigger I can hit it as hard as I want and the ball goes dead straight.
