Very beautiful… such a layered novel Gatsby - my favorite. Have read it atleast 3 times so far.

While the book is about the futility of American Dream, I think it is also about love and realizing it’s futility upon meeting the lover: “Possibly it had occurred to him that the colossal significance of that light had now vanished forever…His count of enchanted objects had diminished by one”
