What God put in you is meant to flow through you. There is joy in discovering what He has given you and giving it away to others.
In Joy and Gladness in the Glory, Pastor Jason Hooper shares an invitation to recognize the gifts, grace, and treasure God has already placed within you. Serving isn’t the goal. Finding your part is. As you connect with others, you begin to discover expressions of Christ in you that you may not have recognized before.

God values how we serve. What once felt like an opportunity can become an obligation when familiarity hides the fruit of our assignment. Through Deuteronomy 28:47, Pastor Jason brings our attention back to serving the Lord with joy and gladness for the abundance of everything. Your work, your relationships, and your contribution to the body of Christ can become places where gratitude replaces drudgery and what you “have to” do becomes what you “get to” do.
In John 12, Jesus announces that His hour of glory has arrived. In John 13, He picks up a towel and begins to serve. Sometimes the glory of God is a touch from heaven. Sometimes it is a touch from your hand to somebody else. Becoming more like Jesus includes revealing His servant nature.
The gift you have received is grace you can minister to someone else. Through 1 Peter 4:10 and 1 Peter 1:3–9, discover how serving, living hope, tested faith, and joy full of glory connect. Some things you thought were lost may have been buried—and Pastor Jason shares his belief that they are about to bloom.
Authentic community grows as we walk together, contribute what Christ has supplied, and strengthen one another. Relationships become a net God can use to reach others. What happens locally can bear fruit far beyond what we see, while our assignment remains to love well where God has placed us.
The closing invitation brings it home: comparison can steal the joy of your assignment, and seeking recognition can change how you see your service. You have something someone else needs. Receive prayer for an uncapping of your well, an awakening of your gifts, and clarity about the part you are called to play.
Behold Him. Become more like Him. Reveal Him through what you give. Together, return the glory to Him.
