Triumph Daytona t595 - Will she run?

8 years ago I rode my bike into the garage and forgot about her. I didn't do any prep for storage, so she's not in great shape. Time to see if I can fix her up, starting with getting her running.

The video joins me after I'd already tried jump starting off the car, changing the battery and getting the tank off. I've found a broken quick release fuel connector, so fingers crossed that's the problem. Watch to find out 😊

Hi, just found your video I recently purchased 1998 T595 that was last MOT'ed in 2008. I changed the oil and filter, put a fresh battery on her and fresh fuel in tank and with the same comment as you 'Well here goes' pressed starter and during first attempt she fired and ran....gobsmacked or what. Spent the rest of the day just going out and starting her. No rides yet as the rest of the bike evidences its lack of use but my excitement was the same as yours.

What are the o rings and couplings used? Going to need to replace mine as well

8 years.....you've got to love Triumphs , while you had the tank off airbox etc , did you whip the cam cover of and check the shims? I recently did the shims on mine (even though she was running beautifully) and low and behold 7 of the twelve were outside acceptable tolerances! mine's an ST Sprint "99 ....I believe it's the same engine as yours. If you do the shims don't buy the bollocks Triumph tool ( £30 and useless) for the job it's shit , just loosen the camshaft brackets to gain better access to the shims and to do measurements then replace shims and torque up the brackets carefully after , great vid by the way.
