Each rose hip jam recipe versions use either regular pectin or Sure-Jell pectin ( a pectin for no-sugar jam recipes). Both homemade rosehip jam recipes are simple and delicious!

My rosehips come from Corea, Maine, where wild rugosas grow in abundance around the rocky shoreline and edges of people's yards.

I was looking for a recipe that used less sugar and used pulp rather than drippings-for a jelly. This is just what I wanted! Other recipes call for 5 1/2 c sugar for 4 cups of pulp! So far what I licked off the spoon is delicious!! Thank you

I do my fruit mashing in the pot and then run it though the strainer.

I'm very thankful that I can just grab a glass of rose hip jam like this at the supermarket. The taste is not that strong, but the texture makes it awesome.
When I was little, we used to make sea buckthorn jam on holidays. It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun.

I'm in West Central Montana and I just went and picked the biggest rose hips I've ever seen. In my neighborhood that isn't spraying they are the size of strawberries. They're hard and that's how I want to have them so I can clean them. I'm so excited.

Hi from UK, I'm looking forward to making Jam with the Rosehips I've recently picked, during late summer early autumn I started picking wild fruit & making pies & crumbles & giving them to the elderly neighbours and my family members with children, enjoying the new adventures of finding & picking, then using the fruits, I've recently purchased a vintage breadmaker, due to arthritis I have found baking impossible, so have had to buy multiple electrically items to help, & am loving the new adventures of wild cooking, looking forward to trying the honey version, my Nannan did this & much more, I want to try chutneys, I've previously done pickled onions with peppercorns & chilli's which people loved, thankQ

Made the traditional jam today and it is DIVINE!! Thank you for this teaching as I grew up eating rosehip jam back home in Bosnia and Croatia and all my ancestors used to forage and make this jam but none of them were able to teach me how. So grateful for you sharing so I could keep this family legacy going! I have a photo to share but couldn’t find a way to post on your FB group!

I found 2 trees loaded with sweet hips at the corner of two busy city streets on city property slated for construction and one bush of sparse tart hips behind my apartment building.
