In this video I do the preliminary painting of the body, as well as some gray, yellow and red paneling. I also assemble the fuselage of the X-Wing with the motor housing and cockpit assembly. Then a full test of the electronics to this point.

i always love watching your videos.. The skill, and level of detail reminds me of how my grandfather used to build his naval ships.

I'm curious about something though: I noticed in the first part how you said you wouldn't be using the "glass" that came with the kit, and i figured that was because you had something better, but i see you're not using ANY "glass", why is that?

Do you have a link to your reference pics?

@bellwitch007 7 years ago

Question about your reference pics,are the pics that you are referencing from a model meant for close up shots or model for moving in scenes?

Is there no glazing for the canopy????

Your work is truly inspiring! Can you please post a parts list (and source) for the electronics/lighting including which version of the Adafruit Trinket (3.3 V or 5 V?) and resistor you are using? You also mentioned Adafruit Neopixel mini 3030 LED for the engines. Did you mean 3535 as I can't seem to find the 3030? Keep up the great work! Thanks.
