Dominators: "Daxamites! You were once our allies, and yet now you work with the metas. What do you have to say for yourselves?"
Daxamites: "...F these bitches! BUUURRRRRRR!"

And superman surrounded by a legion of daxamites, informing them that it is a war zone thinks better give them a handicap and tosses a bat over

I'm still waiting for Holy Terror, Sal.

You can't run away from it

This is one of those stories that is quietly very influential. A lot of things in this come back around in later stories.
Also, I'll never look at the dominators the same way.

Sal really dropping some koala knowledge at 15:37. "Dropbears?" "Chlamydia?" Just casually inserting this terminology and moving on, haha.

I never thought of the Dominators in that way until this video... I can't believe I didn't notice it before

This is an important event for the Doom Patrol fans. As it ends up killing a lot of them, cementing them as a team with a high mortality rate.

I'm just realizing that Invasion is possibly based on Japan's Unit 731. The experiments at the beginning of Invasion are similar to what Unit 731 was doing to their Chinese captives. The big red dot on the Dominator's forehead also supports the Unit 731 theory since that's the Japanese symbol.

A lot of the major DC events i've at least heard of. This one, I have no clue whatsoever. Let's see where the crazy train takes us.

Mon- El was poisoned with lead by super boy. Lead is the kryptonite of daxamites

Even some of the random idiots who got shot and gained powers in the beginning were old characters that they just threw into this. I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be nostalgic for Snapper f--king Carr, but here we are, and there he is.

This is still the diference with Marvel and DC comics: On Marvel, if someone said to the world "hey! we are here to take your metahumans away!", they would say "yes, please!!"

lol, Ben's comment about the Legion of Super Heroes having trouble with the Dominators. You should read him a LoSH story (like Five Years Later) so he can see how lame the Legion itself sometimes is. With such amazing members as Arm-Fall-Off-Boy, Shrinking Violet, and Karate Kid.
