This version she recorded when she’s older although is good is nothing like the one video when she sang this song with mariachi and her most younger voice was unbelievable on the high notes. You should hear that version it still blow your mind

I always loved her voice. It’s so Bluesy gritty and operatic at the same time.

This brings back memories of my mom and I singing this song together at home at the top of our lungs when I was young. 😢

the best version of this song is with Mariachi

I suggest that when commenting on songs in Spanish, look for the translation, since the most valuable thing is the content of the lyrics. The Spanish language is very complex and exact. There are more words in Spanish than in English and the sentimental part of Latinos is incredible.

La buena música, las buenas canciones, no necesitan que se entienda lo que se está diciendo, la emoción llega y penetra.

So many Anglo Americans have Mexican ancestry! So cool! I’ve heard it a million times! Thanks for the great song, she has other versions of it and they’re all amazing!! 🍷🍾🇲🇽

Although Dear sweet Lady your grandpa was AMERICAN HISPANIC in Corpus Christi/Aransas Pass/Rockport (which is a beautiful area there), WE DOWN DEEPER SOUTH TEXAS BY the borders have always listened to music like this! We grew up listening to Ana Gabriel, Juan Gabriel, Chelo, Luis Miguel, Rosio Durcal, Vicente Fernandez (Mexico King of Rancheras), Marco Antonio Solis, of course Our beloved CORPUS QUEEN, SELENA Quintanilla-Perez, and many many many others you must listen to!
