I know this comment is just a shout into the void but I'm gonna leave it anyway. One of my sons showed me your music and it felt like I finally found someone who gets it. I'm bipolar 1, I'm 44 years old and I'm so connected to your music. I can't explain truly how much this album means to me but I want to tell you thank you. Deepfake and 5g and introvert.....it's like you crawled into my brain and spilled my soul on the living room floor. I'm so thankful this album and you and your creativity exist.

I have borderline personality disorder, and this song perfectly embodies the hopelessness I feel on a daily basis. We're hurting and trying our best. Thank you for writing this, Randy.

edit: thank you to all the kind souls who shared their stories with me, you are loved and appreciated. Keep pushing for recovery, everything is gonna be alright :)

I am using my imagination
I am using my imagination
I am using my imagination
I am using my imagination
I am using my imagination

I don't know how much more I can take
'Cause I'm gonna need more than sunlight at getting in shape
Weed makes me panic and Lexapro drives me insane
Tell me, how do you do what you love
When you're sick in the brain?
And you're two thousand miles away
So why am I stalkin' your Twitter and lying awake?
I show my true colors, you left, and my life got so gray
I can't get over you, yet I build up so much hate
But despite all the lies and projections, I hope you're okay

I'm not, I don't want to escape
I pop and my ego deflates
I'm starin' me down, I surrender the sound
Just to find out that I was a fake
(I'm not, I just want an escape
I pop and my ego deflates
I'm starin' me down—)

'Cause behind the smile, I'm so pissed
But I won't be showin' emotions
No, I'm not even tellin' my close friends
You can't fix me now, I'm too broken
I don't know why I'm witherin' this way
Think I'm always makin' a mistake
Close my eyes, just hopin' my neck breaks
Now I'm hardly copin', I don't know how much more I can take

I'm lost, I can't find an escape
I pop and my ego deflates
While starin' me down, I surrender the sound
Just to find out that I was a fake
I'm not, I just want an escape
I pop and my ego deflates
I'm starin' me down, I surrender the sound
Just to find out that I was a—

The fuck? I got a tab in my pocket
It's what I use to justify all the fab I brought in
When I produce a beat it's like makin' laced new tropics
Confuse, repeat it, eternal state, neurotics
No explainin' my hair, it's all a vanity fair
I'll leave the body I wear
And you can bring me to hell
Yeah you could tell it was the lie that you would've won
I'll play it out in my mind, what I could've done
And keep wondering if I'll write when my time is up
I can't help but picture my life ending in a month
And baby, you can try to love me, but I'm not phased
I'm straight flushed with poker on my face
Then I start to choke on my own weight
Now I'm hardly copin', I don't know how much more I can take

'Cause my whole personality's fake
And I want someone else in my place
That feels so much better, I'll settle for now
An endeavor to die or create

God found me
Die or create
(Ahhhhh)

Bloomtodeath
Bloomtodeath
Bloomtodeath
Bloomtodeath, bloomtodeath
Too excited about dying, and blooming, umm—

how does Brakence totally describes myself, how I feel, how I think like just HOWWW? Im in love with his art. Would be a dream come true for me as a music artist myself to be on a song with him

dude these songs have me in chokehold frfr

Thank you for being so so vulnerable on this album, can’t explain how inspirational you are

hes coming back bro 🥹🥹🥹🥹

this is my favourite track on the album this shit hits in all the right places <3 HYPOCHONDRIAC AOTY!!!

this must be the best music ive heard this year.. it just hit exactly the right place its crazy... 10/10

Brakence. This is an amazing gift. I feel like I haven't been honest with myself all my life, or with anyone, and I probably never will. But I want to cry because I didn't know you went through this too. I don't know if things ever get better, but I hope you know, we are grateful you are here for the little time we all have together. hope to say this to you in person one day

The math rock section at 4:15-4:46 goes so hard. I hope the does more of that on the next album

I cannot stress enough how great this track is. The vulnerability in the lyrics. The power of the chorus. I love the growl of the bass, has more of a heavier dubstep type of sound to it which i love coming through into a more relatable and person track compared to straight wubs. Keep it up Randy. Fucking love this!

his voice is just way too good and he’s so good at writing and melody’s

this is gonna be on repeat for awhile i can already tell

I love the one line in this " how do you do what you love when you're sick in the brain " I know that feeling too well

This song just absolutely breaks me every time

This song literally makes me feel like I am choking on my fucking heart. I don’t know how else to describe it.

brakence is a genius man, he has something truly special. you can tell by his lyrics that he understands how to capture not only the full essence of human emotions, but also showcases his intelligence at such a young age. his references and linguistic wordplay/double meanings in a lot of the songs off this album alone are just amazing. lots of psychedelic references and entendres, even "drop out" was a double play on words referencing to dropping out of school, but also dropping acid or psychs, as implied by the video.

as a writer, i know this man has a gift and it's very impressive. randy has inspired me to start writing again. as a visual artist, he inspired me to kick it into high gear and start selling my stuff on a larger scale. his music is a breath of fresh air, and he has so much versatility and range, there is so much to appreciate about what he is creating. and being vulnerable enough to share that with a wider audience is just extraordinary. he appeals to a variety of audiences as well which only adds to his versatility. he just checks all the boxes.

i know nobody is probably reading this far, but while i'm here i'll add that i got put onto him in the last few months by a guy i was seeing, and i was more into his more upbeat songs at first. the guy i was seeing is also a musician and i helped him work on the EP he was about to drop.. he also commissioned a painting from me, which he digitized and used as the album art on Spotify when it did finally drop.

long story short, after 2 months of us building a relationship and me doing commissions and creative endeavors for him, he ended up dumping me and cutting me off. turns out he used me for my art. he skinwalked my entire personality just to try to get my secret sauce fr. i was angry and hurt but above all else, i realized if my art was good enough to use for an album, and if it was good enough for someone to think they could rob me of my gift, then i could really go places with it and sell it on a larger scale to people who actually appreciate it. so i channeled that pain into motivation. and i immediately put this album on and just felt everything brakence was talking about.

"teeth," "stung," and "caffeine" definitely had me inspired initially. i've sold 15 paintings in the span of 3 months. i made a $260 etsy sale in one night. my etsy shop sold out completely the same week. i started blowing up, firing off on all cylinders. then i thought about the guy i was with and how jaded i felt from it all but how i was mainly just grateful for the pain because it was fantastic for my art. and the one good thing he gave me was showing me brakence, so i didn't have to go through that alone when i had nobody else in my corner.

"i pop and my ego deflates" like literally dude. brakence, your music was the soundtrack that transformed my heartbreak to a come-up, and i will always always love you for that.

true alchemists know that energy cannot be created or destroyed. so in order to be a creator of light, you also must be a master of the shadows. and brakence nailed that vibe entirely. thank you.

Edit: it's been a year from the time i commented this, and i'm opening up my own public art studio this year. Thank you brakence for inspiring me along my artistic journey. 🤍 never stop following your dreams!

i love how it goes into some TOE stuff near the end, never thought id hear dubstep shit mixed with proper math rock like this
