1:03:31 I have never understood people who want to explore these tiny, narrow caves just for fun or whatever. As someone who is severely closterphobic, that sounds like my literal worst nightmare😨😳 It's a no tor me dawg!!
14:06 I’m gonna be honest, sounds like bad meth. Like maybe some guy at the truck stop told the Devon that they had something that would help him make his trip and Devon wasn’t ready for that ride. Edit: my alternative theory is truck stop pills. Most don’t work but some less-scrupulous owners may sell stronger pills.
Lack of sleep. Plain and simple. Happened to me. Couldn't sleep. By day 5 I was hallucinating, hearing things, and talking to people who weren't there. By day 9, I was hospitalized. Lack of sleep is no joke. Your brain goes to sleep without you and you live out your dreams and nightmares. That's what it feels like.
I'd be really interested to know if he bought any gas station energy pills to stay awake, there was deregulation of herbal supplements the year before and gas stations were able to sell some crazy, shady shit. I remember you could buy ephedra then. I wonder if he took that to stay up for the drive and developed psychosis. Drugs don't have to be illegal to be dangerous, and it's not unreasonable to think that the things you can buy easily like that would be safe. It also affects the heart so he could have wandered off and had a heart attack
A drunk guy goes missing and they make it an international concern yet defenseless children go missing everyday and don’t get near this amount of attention.
14:06 I gotta be honest, the weird jaw movement and open mouth are definitely signs that this dude was on some kind of upper drug. Whether it was crack/cocaine, ritalin/adderall, or most likely meth, that explains the weird jaw and teeth movement and the staring forward like nobody is there.
