It starts off a bit slow and annoying, but it gets better along the way.

The way the empress dowager begs for the ancestor to protect them would have you believing that she is really concerned about the well-being of the kingdowm, but really, her biggest concern is to keep her son (who is not supposed to be the emperor in the first plkace) on the throne.

That might even explain why she stays with the emperor at the alter instead of escorting the immortal to the alter, even at a safe distance for protection.

If she had been really concerned about more than she was getting from the immortal, she should have had the foresight to know that the consort would have stood in the way.

Not only that, she would have invested time in educating her son (the emperor) on how to be a better leader and make better decisions.

They're embracing fire hoping to butn the true emperor, even going as far as wanting to kill the immortal who has protected their family legacy for at least 500 years.

The set up takes a long time, but I think it's important in giving the immortal the chance to really give the blessing to the right person.

If the initial blessing would've gone one uninterrupted, it could not have brought the gao family as a threat to the light. It would also have kept the doawager's deception and disregard of the oath she made hidden.

This mcould potentially mean that the meperor and dowager would've immediately killed the true emperor and immediately lose the throne to the Gao's effectively wasting the immortal's niinth tail.

42 minutes in and still just...annoying garbage. Literally every single person is stupid. And for some reason fl has to wait 4 hours for her powers to return? Literally why, what her powers doing in the mean time?? And if her power hasn't returned why did she get the full costume upgrade???? This is so deeply annoying and whatever payout there might be eventually is just not worth this crap. Hard pass.

I really don't get the end credits - was it just to show that ML could have ended up marrying the villain FL instead of his brother? I would think that would be a lucky break.

I forward this shit drama. 3/4 of the show at the same place all talking. No actions. Pass this shit drama guys.
