🦋 Let's draw the CUTEST butterfly ever!
📚 Check out all 6 books in my Whimsical Watercolors & How to Draw series:
https://WhimsicalWatercolorBooks.com
In today's Weekly Sketch, I'll show you how to draw and paint this whimsical butterfly using simple shapes, watercolor, a soft pencil, and a few easy shading tricks that make your artwork come alive.
The best part? We're using a black-and-white reference, so YOU get to choose your own colors and make your butterfly uniquely yours!
Whether you're brand new to drawing or have been creating for years, this is a fun, relaxing project that anyone can enjoy.
✨ In this lesson you'll learn:
• How to build a whimsical character from simple shapes
• Easy watercolor techniques for beginners
• How to use values, highlights, and shadows
• My favorite "level-up" tricks using soft pencil and a blending stump
• How to make your whimsical drawings look more dimensional
🎉 GIVEAWAY!
