What Vivi did next

I haven't had much time for gardening recently (apart from harvesting....and entertaining out there!) so the garden is looking a bit sad and in need of a refresh. I mention the video with the bees in the squash flowers.....the link to it is here: Vivi's Kitchen Garden: Overdue Jobs!

Cavalo Nero looks good with the covers off - it is my favourite kale!

I can still see lovely tomatoes Vivi. Great that you recognise your need for some time in nature, self-care is so important.

Oh Vivi, no rain, no bees...what's to become of my gardening???? It's going to be in the 90"s next week here at the beach in San Diego....what a total disaster in the climate. We hardly got any food this year. I had such high hopes for the pumpkins & not one grew from all of the gorgeous vines. Such a loss. My husband is ready to start planting again, but I'm not wanting to invest anymore energy. Maybe I'll just wait til the spring.

Those Gigantes look amazing!!!!!!! Wow!!! My garden is pretty tatty, but my Autumn Blooming Clematis is looking so very cute. I hope there are a few nice weekends end of October, beginning of November so I can get my garlic and broad beans planted.

As the saying goes….little and often.
Been a difficult season in my garden, but did an hour yesterday and made me feel all is not lost.
Tomorrow, after today’s rain, I’ll take cuttings of tender things to keep over the winter. Hope lives!

When you are looking out of your window say to your self it’s all mine,Ernie and I sat out at the back and I did a bit of weeding.

You’ve got whopper beans! Still got a good crop growing outside here too which is crazy! That view out to sea in the autumn sunlight is just breathtaking 😊

Thanks for the pep talk Vivi, and being honest about proactively taking care of your mental health. Gardens are so good for calm and hope. I have a tiny space but need to get out and sort it before the dark and rain! You have reminded me to prioritise it, thanks.

Been a tough year in the garden because of drought but I'm looking forward to the winter garden and no mosquitoes 😊

Id love to hype this on my phone. But how???

My outside space is my absolute lifeline. I’m in the garden whenever feasible possible, at present reclaiming my overgrown pond area.🐸👩🏻‍🌾😊

Lovely Vivi. I'm going up to collect all my clippings from my workings at the plot yesterday and take large pieces to the tip ❤

Great Video Vivi. I agree you can feel a bit frustrated, especially doing admin things all day. As soon as you go with nature in the garden it changes your energy. It is uplifting and can be so exciting seeing your plants flourish. I spent all day in the garden yesterday digging etc and felt so good with all the fresh air and although hard work its good exercise too. Your videos really inspire me and I also need to sharpen my secateurs and would love to know how to do this.
