My DNA origins have changed so much from the time that I was first tested, that I don’t even recognise myself anymore.
I’m done with it all.
Next up date will probably reveal that I’m from a “galaxy far far away”

I wonder about these. Every October it seems like my results change drastically. It's getting hard to put faith in them.

Just a heads-up that the update has a problem. I went from having 5 regions to having only 1, 100% Northeastern Germany. This effectively negates my maternal Grandma's ancestry that comes from Ostfriesland/ Netherlands. It appears that they randomly selected an area and dumped my DNA there. To me it appears as if they did so to avoid dividing my DNA my grandparent.

I was originally about 24% Scottish and Northern Irish under the older Origins. Now I am 1% Scottish and 9% Northern Irish. I know for a fact that many of my ancestors came from Northern Ireland in the 1700s and 1800s, and many of my autosomal ancestors and my surname ancestors originally came from the Scottish/English borders, yet the new Origins show nothing at all along either border. How can that be? Thank you, Glen

My balderdash meter is sounding. I write that because--out of nowhere--I am suddenly Czechian. I have traced all my lines to the 1400s, and nobody has a Czechian origin or surname. Now, granted, I could have another surprise male ancestor, but the Czech Republic seems a bit off the beaten path for my northwestern European farmer ancestors to encounter. Ancestry still hasn't connected me to the "journey" from Appalachia to Oklahoma, and I know that many hundred of thousands (if not millions) of people made this "journey." I love Ancestry and use its services regularly but have my doubts about this update.

for some reason I went on Ancestry yesterday to check mine. and it was Oct 2025 and I just checked after watching your show its now oct 2026 went from 11 to 15 regions. Thank you.

Today is the day! So nice to have the Crista cameo to show us the new regions by grandparents feature. (I may or may not have already clicked on the DNA tab groups 15-20 times this morning hoping it’s there already 😁). I love the demonstration of the filters as well.
