I told my dad about star notes years ago, now he has thousands worth saved. I can't afford to keep any unless they are a 1 or 5. So I just sell mine to my dad for face value.

I have fun with $5s. Fun to give people an eye test with the state names on the Lincoln Memorial. My old eyes can read them but most don't even know they are there

Interesting channel recommended by YouTube. Having been a coin collector in the past, it struck a note with me (no pun intended). Nice change of pace from the usual car and diy videos that I watch on a regular basis. I'm now subbed and may possibly get back into the hobby.......👍👍

Appreciate the site you offer to check rarities on notes.

That was probably the best information for a beginner that I have seen about note collecting!
Many videos I have watched I get to understand things a bit but no one goes over the basics.

Well if thats the case , on the face of the five dollar bill the tear drops stacked on their sides on both sides of its face you'll note a broken doted line that runs through eatch tear drop . That broken doted line is the words "five dollars" in micro print up to about 12 years ago i could read it with my naked eye (not any more) but it took my optometrist a 16x magnifying lens to read it ! Im sure you could probably find some uck ups there if you can find a magnifying lens strong enough !

Absolutely laughed out loud after that glitter coated bill comment!

My father sent me to Walmart with a $100 silver certificate once. I tried to tell him he should probably use a different bill, but he said it was worthless. Even the clerk recognized it as unusual. No idea if it was worth anything. This was about 1995.

I had a huge stacks of 1.00 bills. By the time I got done checking them inflation made them worth less then when I started??

We’ve found tons of star notes in our business. Numerous hundreds, several 50’s, some 20’s and tons of 1’s. We’ve probably rescued roughly 3000$ worth of star notes. I’ve been wondering how to check them. Thank you for your intel. I will check some out later today.
