He worked in a factory and sometimes indulged in debauchery: drinking, carousing, and having fun. He later repented of his actions, but never stopped sinning. But one day, an acquaintance of his blasphemed the Mother of God in his presence and... died. Then Vasily Gryazov was able to reform, firmly embark on the path of repentance, and even achieve holiness. This is Vasily of Pavlovsky Posad.

Life is finite, sin is not harmless, and earthly glory fades. Modern civilization strives to hide death, to make it invisible, so that people live as if they will never stand before God. But Christianity restores sobriety to man: Christ conquered death, and therefore the memory of the end leads not to despair, but to repentance and life on the rock of faith.
