I appreciate that within the first 5 minutes yall (indirectly) recognized how brutal the NC Courage scheudle has been. Agree SD's system is off the charts amazing to watch. I'm afraid to see what they can do with Dudinha back, literally terrified. Also was only noticing Davidson ( and Howell's) impact of putting a stop to NC's top-tier offense.

Thank you for your coverage on Angel City. The club does not seem to get much respect from most commentators. After coming out the summer break on a tear - that slump was in part fueled by the absence of both Jonsdottir and Niehues. Even then though they were notching a fair share of draws. Since back at pretty much full strength, their most recent five game record at four wins and one draw is tops in the league - not even Gotham FC can match it. Now in sixth position as you noted, they are only three points behind BOTH Portland and Utah. As an AC fan I've learned to be cautious, but I'd suggest their current level of play is for real, opponents should take notice.

I'm a big Niehues fan as well. But Chilufya's pressing play has helped to spark the team. Meantime, Niehues coming in as a sub can be a game changer. Jonsdottir had actually been in a bit of a scoring slump until that Utah game, where she made a Utah defender look silly, picking her pocket as the broadcasters noted, then scoring in a methodical and precise manner. Gisele is a sight to behold running up and down the wing. And as you noted she is cutting inside a lot more, defenders now unsure of what direction she'll take.
Sentnor, with Coach Leif's help I think, has found a mode of play for her to excel with her new squad, and she has offered some sweet passes along with her threat to score. She now appears well settled in with this team.

Finally, a note on 'Interim' Head Coach Leif Smerud. Is it just me, or has this guy done one heck of a job with this team? The entire roster seems to have responded well to him in general, and on the field in particular. He's made key moves with figuring out how Sentnor fits in the squad, adjusted formation as you noted, and is working in key subs in an effective way. The last thing this team needs is another coaching 'reset'. How about AC management signing Leif to a Head Coaching contract that runs through at least the entire 2027 season, regardless of how this season and any post season playoff concludes?

(You neglected to mention Keeper Anderson. I think she has quietly become a top tier keeper in the NSWL.)

Jordan? Your assessment on Sanchez was incomplete and trivial. You didn't mentioned her summer training and how her technical skills are above average than most NSWL players. In addition, she played winger in college. Sanchez is exposing these bias pundits who begrudgingly talk about her. How can anyone ascend and be a superstar in this US market

Get Angeli off this show. absolute joke of a person. BWPC's statement in direct response to her on air statements only scratched the surface.
dig a little deeper and this is not a good person nor one i will allow to populate my feeds going forward.
