Matthew, before I watch the full video, I just wanted to comment on how far you've come on YouTube, and obviously in your career. The quality and hard work shows. It's exciting to see that.

Great video Matthew!  We love the Lumix S1ii so much that it's become our camera of choice regardless of budget.  We've modified all of our S1ii's with the Kolari permanent OLPF as it elevates the image into top tier usability.  We also use the Rigid Pro Omnia as we can go from fully-rigged to minimal in seconds, and then back again.  We are one of the original Red customers and love that image so much, but they don't have the great image and dynamic range COMBINED WITH IBIS and fast speed that Lumix has.  We still use an EVA1 and can't wait for Panasonic to come out with a successor but consider a rigged out S1ii to be a cinema camera and know that it will play well with whatever Lumix/Panasonic cameras come out moving forward.  We still use our GH5s, GH6  GH7's  and EVA1 in combination with our S1ii's so the investment isn't just for a year or two.

Best hybrid camera on the market!

After almost a year and a half with the S5IIX, I've been using the S1II for a week now and I'm simply loving this little beast.
For now, the only thing I'd like is for them to add smaller codecs (or the ability to choose the bitrate independently, in both h264 and h265). Sometimes I want 60p, but I don't need 300Mbps because the output will only be for social media. My computer for editing and SSDs would love that space saving.

Looks like you're in a small studio & somehow are managing to keep your lights out of your glasses.  I'd LOVE to see a video explaining it because it's something I'm constantly dealing with on my show.

This camera is the camera that Lumix needed to be taken serious in the hybrid full frame camera market.

Grab a blackmagic videoassist 12g and get 6k 12bit 4:2:2 with HUGE quality and not a ton of space... I'm so happy with this rig...

Great content, Matthew! One issue I've been dealing with on both Lumix and Sony cameras for years is that the custom WB — using the gray card snapshot method — simply won't register once a dummy battery is inserted. Just wondering if that's been sorted out by now? Also, on the open gate recording being limited to 4:2:0 — is that the same situation with the S1RII as well?

Just got to the part in the video where talk about the overheating issues in regards to the later firmware update as far as the camera which u have shoot on has been concerned. How about other videographers from California who u have worked with who have the same camera? Have they all echoed your sentiments & statements regarding overheating issues? 😎😎

Coming from Sony I'm loving the S1II but I really miss being able to use the AF-ON button to toggle between manual focus and autofocus. Also not being able to move the single focus point around with the joystick without constantly having to push a button to set it is driving me crazy! On my Sony I cold move it around while filming and nothing changed except where the point was. Also why can't I change the audio recording levels while filming?

What about the delay on external monitor with HDMI ? Someone did have experienced that ?

With False Color, can I have False Color show on the rear LCD 100% of the time while keeping the HDMI showing my view assist lut AND while recording at the same time?
