Couple notes: The hypothermia I got is not a bug, but an interaction with body temperature being low. I just forgot about it among all the new stuff. The reason clothes seem randomly wet is for the same reason: high body temp causes sweat.

Several of the modders have also seen the video and are working on updating minor issues.

Also the Long Development mod is not on here but might be added later, or be a separate video.

The modding community for this game is so cool. Their discord is set up really well to help with trouble-shooting and maintaining the mods. Even with the jank, I've had a better experience with modding TLD than pretty much any other game.

Just wanted to add, you can absolutely get sick in solitude! I guess calling it 'catching a cold' is a misnomer, but many viral or bacterial illnesses stay dormant in the body long after symptoms disappear, and when the immune system weakens due to cold temperatures, incomplete diet and rest, stress etc. the virus gets a chance to reinfect your cells and start a symptomatic illness.
PS. Will complaining about back pain all throughout the night is so damn relatable😂 loved this video!

Probably one of if not the best Long-Dark Channel out there!

"You can't eat ice cream cause it's frozen??" 😂

The Nanaimo Bar is a type of 'Square' dessert like Lemon Bars or Brownies. Nanaimo Bars are a base of chocolate, graham cracker crumbs, coconut and butter which is then topped with a layer of custard thickened with icing sugar and finally a topping of melted chocolate. To my knowledge there is no commercial brand manufactured and sold in typical candy wrapping. You will find them, of course, in the bakery section of the grocery store, but they are very easy to make.

Completely forgot to write this when I first watched it, but desperately want a long series with this! And 2+ hours are perfect to keep in the background while I sew, so if I may be so bold I would looooove more of that! Takk igjen, professor :)

I remember years ago when Hinterland was very much against mods, I am so glad that the 1.0 release opened the doors for modding proper.

Re catching a cold: Read "An outbreak of common colds at an Antarctic base after seventeen weeks of complete isolation" by T. R. Allen. It's a paper about a research team catching cold after 17 weeks in isolation in 1969. They never been able to positively identify the common cold as the illness, but it's much better story if you leave that out.

Id keep watching this . Its different. I like it.

Would make me happy if this turns into a series, might motivate me to play long dark again with some cool mods.

A Nanaimo bar is local dessert with a thick chocolate and coconut bottom, a mid layer of a light yellow firm custard and a chocolate top. Nanaimo is 60ish KM from the Cowichan Valley. Both names are anglicized versions of their Coast Salish words and are unpronounceable to non speakers.

Having this many afflictions reminds me of Kyle Schwartz in South Park: "Uha, wa, actually, I- I can't eat beef. I have a degenerative problem with my intestinal lining, and beef really gives me gaass."

Nice to see a modded playthroughj.. Thanks.

now all you need is the "jump" mod! You can adjust the settings re: how high you jump, calorie and fatigue cost, etc. so it's more balanced. Being able to step up onto ledges is a game changer!
