Two 17-year-olds, college dropout Debbie McQueen from Carlise and wannabe rock star Daniel Drinkwater from Leeds, get new parents in Beirut, Lebanon. For a week, they live under the strict rules of the Haijars, an observant Sunni Muslim family. Dad Abdulsalam is a retired policeman, while mom Iman is a nurse and wears the hijab veil. The Haijars believe that strict discipline is the key to raising a happy family and have prepared for the British teens a set of rules that includes dressing modestly, not smoking and not drinking. So it doesn't go down too well with the Haijars when Debbie and Daniel get caught drinking vodka at school. Over the week, the teens are strictly supervised as they do daily chores, attend Mosque and school and even go to a traditional wedding. Can the Haijars' strict Lebanese lifestyle bring about any change in the wayward British teens?
