It's funny how back in the 90s that Liger and Dragon were described more as "high fliers" when nowadays they'd be described as more technical workers, wrestling on the mat, using submissions, as well as strikes. Heck, their finishers are sit out power bombs. They both had high flying offense of course, and innovated who knows how many moves, but they really were the complete package back then and today.
16:22 such a gorgeous powerslam into a cover. One thing that kinda irks me sometimes with JR's commentary is when he'll constantly bring up the wrestlers making mistakes (seems like an old school play-by-play thing since Gorilla did the same) and missing out on the story being told. Dragon has a history of ankle injuries and had his legs worked on earlier in the match. Even if slipping off the top rope was a botch, it's easy enough to say that he slipped due to the submissions and kicks from Liger earlier in the match. Also, as odd as it sound, the tombstone piledriver isn't a finisher in Japan. It's usually just a set up for a high flying finisher.
