Simon wasn't arrested for using, it's been reported that he was arrested for posseion. Completely different crimes in Japan.

Madamoiselle...while you show a nuanced and expansive view of ones personal choices and moral codes. At the same time, while yes...you have the right to personal preference(and we've had this discussion before), your critique has within it both opinion AND fact. In that... your opinion is housed and framed by a set of paradigms. Which then serve to influence the construct of your analysis and critique. Por te impro...you continue to place the Genes' music within a particular genre specific category(song by song)... with little to no nuance, as with your analysis aforestated with regard to the Simon/Chancellor incident. To that end... your analysis, as stated allowed for personal experience AND factual data to inform that opinion. Leading to a expression of personal preference. Without that expansive knowledge base, you would not be so entertaining and tolerant of the experimental nature of altered states of consciousness vie "drug" use.
With that in mind...I ask you allow for a more expansive view of the music in which each Genes' project is constructed. Rather than hearing a set of notes and chords progressions, then prescribing and/or assigning them to a strict construct. A construct...built on a set of paradigms predetermined and deemed unpalatable. We...who appreciate and enjoy your reactions, can and do grant grace to your personal preferences, but when assigning a particular construct to their music. Well...we must reserve the right to agree and yeah at times agree to disagree(RESPECTFULLY) To wit I submit...that house/garage are NOT always the primary nor most influential elements of an XG project. Yet ..in most(not all)of the reactions I've observed, it is the default genre/category to which many ascribe each XG project. Then with that assigned construction, that by unconscious bias reject what they presume the music to be assigning such rejection to a perceived "PERSONAL TASTE", asking the listener to accept such assignment without critique of the analysis that follows.
