For a Pokémon that is 500 million years old, you have to expect it to be power crept in that time

With rock/ghost being one of the only possible combinations for rock that is good in its own, I'm kind of surprised pokemon has never explored that space for fossil Pokemon, playing into the idea that these "ghosts" from the past resurrected from their fossilized remains

I’ve always liked how the Galarian fossils are a nod to how dinosaur skeletons used to be assembled using bones from multiple dinosaurs to create something that never existed 😂

“I entered a tour with only fossil pokemon” incoming

If that cursed, horrifying fish comes to Champions the amount of Quash sableyes will sky rocket

Can’t wait for Dracovish to wreak havoc on every non-rain strategy in existence

"How will I fix the Dracovish-shaped hole in my Dracovish-shaped heart?" -Random Guy from Undertale

Actually, fun fact about the Galar fossils! They're based off a period in time called "The Bone Wars", I believe. This is during a time in early Paleontology where two guys were just AT EACHOTHERS THROATS. And Dracovish is a direct reference to one of the guy's mistakes I think, where he accidentally flipped the vertebrae of the dinosaur and put the head on the end of the tail instead. Directly seen in Dracovish's design. I'm not a paleontologist though, so take what I say with a grain of salt. But yeah, that's why I think the Galar fossils are so different. They LITERALLY shouldn't exist, Homunculi from a scientist who just wanted to make "new discoveries" so they could get paid.

“Are all fossil Pokemon bad competitively?…

With the sole exceptions of Aerodactyl and Dracovish of course.”

16:27 lol this man is too good. "I was just fucking around, and then I messed up, and then I finished 9th, so... kinda a wash."

The Dracovish-shaped elephant in the room:

6:06 Kind of ironic that Sword and Shield broke up the Fossil's sword and shield dynamic

8:39 "And Omastar is definitely a cult leader.  Who else thinks it?"

As someone that's old: wow, you are old

7:14 having a specific stat line isn’t the only reason a creature can go extinct, the first and most prominent reason is that they didn’t go extinct, but over millions of years became new Pokémon such as the gen 5 fossils Pokédex entries suggest, but another possibility is that it was a disaster that drastically altered their environment and it just wasn’t conducive to life.

Me who has been using Auorus since the start of Champions: He's right, but I love my dinosaur and he's becoming a champion with me  if it's the last thing I do.

"Is every fossil pokemon competitively bad?"
Me looking over at Mr. Fish...

what thousands of years of power creep does to a pokemon
