I have always be intrigued with the Red Dot Sights and have heard a number of times now that they can aid shooters with eye dominance issues.

Let's put one to the test!

Can I successfully shoot clay targets from my RIGHT SHOULDER with a LEFT MASTER EYE???

Also, I think I have found a great additional bit of kit to use on my Hushpower 410. shotgun to make it easier to shoot!

This video is a huge help! Trying to get the lady out duck hunting this season and she's got the unfortunate crosseye dominance. Definitely will look into getting her a red dot on her shotgun!

If you really like it, consider getting a Vortex Viper Shotgun RedDot.
They mount extremely flat and are reasonably priced

A great demonstration of how red dots can be a game changer on shotguns, especially moderated ones. Just be careful with using mounts and sights that aren't designed for the job. Under recoil, the extra mass can put more strain on the rib than it was ever designed to take. This is why Aimpoint built their shotgun sights ultra light as well as ultra low. Your setup is great for an experiment, but anyone that tries it and likes it - and cares for their gun - would be well advised to invest in an Aimpoint.

i shot shotguns with an aimpoint and the red dot sight is a perfect tool to get you shooting more consistance

Im right handed myself and left eye dominant but only realised that when I was in my early 20s no wonder I couldn't hit a barn door. I'm now 45 and trained myself to shoot lefthanded and through time build up speed and efficiency...I use the aimpoint myself find them extremely helpful on long crossers

Red Dots do mostly negate the eye dominance. Since you are focusing on the target (or clay) your brain has to superimpose the red Dot on it. It is actually important that you leave both eyes open, otherwise you are almost certainly focusing on the dot

I'm right handed with a left eye dominance, and whilst not great I have to close my left eye in order to shoot anything. Im interested In getting a red dot sight, but Im keen to learn how does it actually work.

i am right handed and shoot left handed with right handed guns, I did have a Beretta 687 left hand and could not hit a barn door and went back to right hand guns again.

I have used red dots for some years due to eye dominance. Works great on standard loads. But heavy magnum loads mounted on the rib like shown puts too much stress on the rib and I broke the rib off a Superposed Bowning.

Thinking of buying the red dot for my hush power 410.Has yours been solid on the rib or has it ever moved as it grips with a dovetail clamp and does not clamp under rib .Looks good and does not break the bank .keep up the sterling videos 👍❤️
