I am 75 years old. I thought I was to old for powder brows. I have thyroid issues so I have very sparse eyebrows with no tails. I recently had Ombre Powder Brows! I absolutely love them. It is everything you said it is.

I offer Microblading, Powder and Ombre Brows and it’s honestly all about preference and look. Microblading has a MUCH more natural look and powder looks more like a neat makeup look, Ombre Brows are a combination of the two. Powder brows have a softer look but still I would say they don’t look like natural eyebrows necesarily unless you have a great deal of brow hair. For those who don’t have eyebrows at all or who are missing hair I always suggest microblading or ombre, but it’s really important to guage what the client wants, not what my opinion or my ideal look is. Microblading (when done correctly) absolutely does last easily 10-12 months and it should never be advertized for any longer. You should never get any of these services any more frequent than every 10 months. Powder Brows last around 12-18 months and again it’s all about the LOOK you’re going for period. Another factor is the numbing agent being used- if you’re not numbing beneath the skin, it isn’t going to be as effective and not only will this cause you pain, but the muscles in your face could contract causing tiny movements during your treatment. This runs the risk of uneven or crooked lines. I understand that this creator is a powder brow artist but just like anything else, it’s about who you choose and what look you’re actually going for. DO your research and know that neither service is PERMANENT and that to find a good artist you’ll want to look at their HEALED results, that’s most important.

Everyone's experiences are different; I'm fortunate to have had microblading seven years ago, and it still looks good.

I have been doing permanent make up in Scottsdale Az for over 30 years and could agree more with your video of brows. I have trained in machine, micro blading ( with machine and by hand) I personally prefer hand method powder brows but you are right on with  “a big NO” for micro blading. Definitely causes too much scar tissue which will keep the brows from holding any color if it is done repeatedly. Over 1/2 of the new clients coming to my office are a correction and that it a true shame. Thank you for speaking up. I hope these girls that are researching a career in PM will see your post and not waste their money for training in a process that will only cause damage to their clients skin or a bad reputation for their work. This is a life changing and rewarding career if performed properly.

These techniques have been around long enough that by now shouldn't the pigments be more stable than turning faded colors? I'm glad to hear that the powder brows have a longer duration.

I know this video was two years ago, BUT I found you and subscribed immediately!!!  You do a great job!  I had micro blading and this past Monday I got powder brows.  I’m 63 and she said she did a color correction and light colors, but OMG they are getting so dark!  She’s a highly rated permanent makeup artist in the area and she said they WILL LIGHTEN!  However, I have white hair and blue eyes and fair skin and feel like I am locked into my home right now.  I’m only on day 3 and want to cry!

I just got microblading and I had no pain. It looks amazing and natural. I will do some shading in my follow-up but I do not think the microblading or powder alone looks the best. The combo is my personal favorite.

I was a 90s girl who over plucked... So much that they would not come back in some areas and I was forever trying to pencil and powder fill them back in.   I tried microblading but of course It was not a great set as I have oily thin skin.  So by the time the scabs healed it wasn't much to look at.   Powder brow was a game changer and after two annual touchups I have had them naturally subtly fade and now they look ultra natural perfect❤ its been 3 years since my last touch up and they have aged beautifully.  I may grab a touchup in a few years but it look like they are here to stay and soften naumturally with age😊

I've been doing this powder brows since 1995. We used to call it permanent eyebrows tattoo make up . And all what you said is very true..same observation ❤️❤️❤️

This was SO helpful and informative! Wow. I've always seen both but would have probably gone more towards microblading but this has really made me be a powder brow girl. I didn't realize how blown out the strokes can get from microblading. I always thought it was just really bad artists, not necessarily the technique. Your work on your clients is AMAZING!!! I had microblading 1 and a half year ago. After seeing a powder eyebrow technique in youtube, I contacted my eyebrow artist and will do it tomorrow, yes! She is charging me half only because it is still part of my yearly service.

I got my brows microshaded ombré and it was the best decision. I wish I watched your video before choosing because, I had no idea which would be best. My technician advised powder brows for me and I'm so happy she did!

I do mermaid modeling and I would love to have my brows that stay on underwater as well! I live in mexico so i'm not sure if they offer powder brows in my city but i'm definitely going to look into it 🎉
