Funny, usually it's the villain that fails after waxing overlong on his cunning plan.

If you're gonna shoot - shoot; don't talk!

Man, this is more meta than the usual Mythos tale.

I think HorrorBabble would do an incredible job narrating
“I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream”

“I am Providence” reads Lovecraft’s headstone.

The Haunter of the Dark is one of my favorite stories glad to hear an excellent addition to it Cheers

I consider this the definitive final story in the mythos (chronologically, at least). Who knew that the antediluvian monstrosities written about in the 20s and 30s would usher in the Atomic Age and ultimately, man's destruction? Superlative.

Ah, the familiar stench of weirdness, tickling my cilia, and soon enveloping me in a stifling blanket of overwhelming mental imagery. I have missed you.

I love this story! An encounter with the one an only Crawling Chaos!

Well done @ Circa 11:04 You managed to say "the shadow shrouded structure" without tripping over your tongue. It's a bit of a tricky one.

This story is fantastically iner-referential, which is one of the really magical things about the whole Cthulhu mythos, and the Lovecraft circle. All these authors, mostly known to each other by correspondence and mutual artistic support, almost crowd-sourcing (friend-sourcing? Colleague-sourcing? Acquaintance-sourcing?) a new type of fiction, straddling fiction and reality. What a wonderful rendition. Thank you very much, Ian!

I love big cats and it's awesome how a panther in the darkness can come off as genuinely creepy

I love how Bloch includes Lovecraft into the Mythos without breaking the "4th wall" of the Mythos. Some other authors did something similar including Lovecraft himself who mentions the art of Clark Ashton Smith in a few Mythos stories. In the 60s Jack Kirby and Stan Lee did something similar with themselves in the Marvel universe

Wonderful work.i sleep to these stories and Ian's narration every night. May i recommend The Crawling Sky by Joe R. Lansdale?

A triviality: the USO in Honolulu is quite a nice place to kick up your feet, at least as I remember it.

sometimes when i’m doing things ‘round the house, i don’t really listen to the whole story, but your voice keeps me calm and so i listen in a sort of cloud zone of your voice. . .
