I’m incredibly proud of you young Sis! I’m from Cali too but moved due to the military. It’s really disheartening to what’s become of the city. I’m so excited to see your continued journey. Wishing you safety and blessings. You’ve got a magnificent head on your shoulders!❤

Heyyy congratulations on being a homeowner!! so I live in LA and same. I don’t wanna live here anymore. Been here for 8 years and for various reasons I’m ready to move. Moving next year!!

As someone who was born and raised in LA, I do feel like some of the points made were a little one sided. While I completely understand that everyone has their own experiences and reasons for leaving, I also think it’s important to acknowledge that there’s so much beauty, culture, community, and positivity here that often gets overlooked. LA is so much more than its challenges. That being said, as a longtime viewer and fellow USC alum, I’m genuinely happy to see how far you’ve come and wish you nothing but continued growth, happiness, and success in this next chapter! ❤️

Such an honest take on the atmosphere / vibe of LA. I live in the county and yes the cost of living is crazy. It’s almost impossible to really live here comfortably let alone safely. You go girl! Congratulations on your new blessing!

That’s one of the many reasons that you’re my favorite content creator, is because you are pursuing YOUR life, it’s so interesting and fascinating to watch, and learn.

Mad props for being honest. I feel like a lot of cities sell the feeling of “making it”, but as you called it out it is not real. I’m originally from Tampa, Florida and we tend to call the folks down in Miami the $30k Millionaire. The folks that buy or lease an expensive car but rent an apartment somewhere lol and oh sh*t!!!!!!! Congratulations on buying a home!!!!! Huge deal! I can honestly say you made it!!!!!

Congratulations Makayla!!!!! I’m so glad you decided to post this video. It takes A LOT of courage to be this transparent and vulnerable. Thank you!!! You are truly wise beyond your years. As a millennial, you are definitely restoring my faith and hope in Gen Z. I can’t wait to see the huge impact you make in this world. Keep thriving and shining 🥂✨

Left California 16 years ago, I saw it coming a very long time ago. My friends thought I was crazy. Went to Ventura Blvd recently I was shocked by the blight. 😮
