One of the best examples of "metal isn't just screaming loudly into a microphone"

Welcome to Metallica, and its ok to cry. When you hear the Exctasy of Gold intro to their live show its impossible not too cry...

The fact that you got emotional over the music, even before he started singing was so beautiful. ❤️

Great reaction! Such a classic. One of my faves. Love the emotion. So helpful to listen to the song without a video. Love it when you do that! It is how we all consumed them originally after all 😁

If this one is triggering the waterworks, wait til she hears Orion, especially that middle section.

It reminds me of the time I first heard this song on an old cassette player back in 1988.

I totaly get you. This was music of my youth, i am 52 now, and still i feel the same when i listen to their music. As you said it is an emotional jorney. They have it all. Powerfull lyrics, great song structure from the beggining to the end, and who better to present their songs than James, with his unique growl that makes your entire body tingle. I always thought that when i am older i will stop listening to them you know, they d be to hard core for my older ears. But i only respect them more. And i still listen to them... a lot.
