Schaffrillas & Nick say anything about this movie

“No no, he’s got a point.”

As an adult I've come to appreciate Pacha as a character. His patience brings Kuzco into becoming a better person and I feel like people can learn alot from that

it took me many years to realize that the reason Kronk's shoulder devil showed off his handstands was because the angel couldn't do them in a robe without flashing people

“How did you get here before us ?!”
“A-how did we get here before them Kronk?”
“Well you got me. By all accounts it doesn’t make sense?”

My absolute favorite was during the final battle where the guard's like:
"For the last time, we did not order a giant trampoline!"
And the guy's like:
"Well buddy, you could have told me that before I set it up."
LOL

One of my favorite scenes in the movie is when, at the restaurant where everyone throws a "birthday party" for Yzma, it cuts to her with the birthday cake that has a ridiculous amount of candles on it. Implying that Yzma is, or just looks, really old

I got a good chuckle out of that

Schaffrillas finally perfecting his doofermshmirtz impression: oh yeah it’s all coming together

"for the last time we did not order a giant trampoline"
"Well you should've told me that before I set it up buddy"

9:34 correction: Kuzco did NOT throw the old man out the window because he accidentally ran into him! He threw him out the window because HE THREW OFF THE EMPEROR’S GROOVE.

At the end when Chicha crochets Kuzko a poncho and gives him a hug, that was probably the most genuine (if not the only) motherly affection he has ever been shown

I also love the age choices. Like, Disney chose a fourtysomething year old married man to be one of the main characters, which is something kinda weird. Also, the chemistry between him and Kuzco, who's a teenager, is great and their friendship feels so natural despite the age gap

“Let me guess. You have a great personality.”

@santaclosstf2 6 years ago

I love the scene where it’s like “Are we going over a waterfall?” “Yep” “Sharp rocks at the bottom?” “Most likely” “Bring it on”

Something important that was mentioned in passing at 6:11 was “The energy is always high without being obnoxious”, which is apparently an extremely hard thing to get right. This movie is one of the few I’ve seen that manages to do it

@alejandrocrayola9456 6 years ago

Can we all just admit that Yzma is one of the funniest Disney characters like ever. She’s so hilarious and overall just a really well written character.

@kayhaven4710 6 years ago

“For the last time, we did NOT order fifty giant trampolines!”

“Well you know what buddy, you could’ve told me that before I set it all up!”

@l.r.4155 5 years ago

Quick little fun fact: The reason why Yzma turned into a cat at the end of the movie
is because her voice actor also voiced cat woman somewhere else, so it's actually a reference
to another character she voice acts

This fact is totally useless but it's something cool

Kuzco was basically the villain at the start, but there's one scene that I found especially interesting after rewatching it yesterday. Kuzco actually discussed retirement with Yzma during the dinner scene, as if he felt a little bad for firing her on the spot.

He was still mostly, if not almost completely, a selfish asshole, but I think the scene was snuck in there to show that, no, Kuzco isn't necessarily malicious. He was indeed spoiled rotten since day one, but being pure evil wasn't inevitable for him: he wasn't a sociopath naturally
