Bro I miss you..

R.I.P Daniel Naroditsky

Danya was truly the best chess teacher we could have ever asked for. His clarity, kindness, and incredible passion for the game shaped so many of us. Thank you for everything, Daniel. Rest in peace.

every move by Daniel here was so clean. I'd love to play chess this way one day.

Already miss Danya.

Danya's speedrun games are always educational, but when he plays openings I like, it's an overload of  useful concepts.

Dan at 0:19 be like "so our opponent is basically lost at this point"

Going to perfect the Caro in honor of Daniel

Its amazing how gm's can break 1800's like a small stick, though 1800 is like top 15% of skill in chess

Thank You Very Much ❤

I’m a simple man.

I see caro kann for E4 I click.
I see KID for D4 I click.

Hell yeah as a caro player my self I love watching grandmasters play it. Thank you danya

Yesterday I watched his speedrun game against a 2100 playing the Caro-Kann, and the entire game white was hanging on and defending everything Danya had thanks to almost one move: Nd4, protected by the pawn on c3. It killed all of Danya's ideas until the very end, and white hung on for 20+ moves with incredible defence against a super strong GM with a 500 point rating difference.

Then I see this game, where white plays Nc3 on move 2 and Danya talks about how important the pawn on c3 is in these positions, and it really clarifies the concept. Unbelievably instructive. These videos are the most important, most valuable chess resource in the world, and it's a real tragedy that we lost such an amazing teacher, communicator, and by all accounts, person generally.

It feels like understanding these concepts should take years of playing the opening to fully understand independently, yet here he was, explaining it in two videos in under an hour combined. Just incredible.

As a Caro Kann player, I love to see Nc3 moves from white.

We miss you, Danya. Thank you for all of your guidance, R.I.P.

The opponents idea around 9:50 made me realize how far away I am from being 1800+ lol

I was so close to falling asleep and then our lord Danya blessed us with instruction 😩 Thank you papa

RIP Danya. We are still watching you.

The thumbnail looks a bit more animated and I like it!

White traded his dark-square bishop on f6 out of fear that after f4-f5, the bishop could be trapped by Black with ...g5 after the f5 pawn is traded. In reality, it seems it couldn't, but that's what came to my mind, and I love this kind of silly reasoning :)
