I only use original Seiko watches, dials and movements in my mods, so felt it right to highlight this for my followers’ benefit too.

Easiest way to spot a fake Seiko is that the bezel lines up perfectly at 12. lol

The real Seiko company should hire whoever it is in charge of Quality Control at the fake factory

edveros reps are so convincing even i forgot which one is real sometimes

Thank God he was saved from modding a fake Seiko. Now he can put Chinese aftermarket parts on a real Seiko.

you know we're cooked when the fake watches have better protective packaging and an actually functional magnifying Cyclops for less money 🤣🤣😭😭

Easiest way to spot a cheap fake is if the watch is higher quality than the real one

Frankly, im not convinced it was a fake. Should have kept it and dissected it in a video.

I like how the fake's giveaway is protective film. Honestly this is just selling me on the fake.

Just got a fake one that I bought online, and thanks to this video I’m returning it tomorrow. A lot of fake watches out there

Making a 300 dollar fake seiko that is Almost identical in every way I give up

I can confirm that there also silica bags in original Seiko giftboxes.

I literally identified a fake one I was bidding on in the UK. You saved me a bit of heartache. Managed to wriggle out of the sale as it had more than 12 hours to go. Definitely going to walk into a jewellers and buy one.

so in other words, if you do not have a real one to compaire it, you are screwed

Thank you for this video! I got scammed by a fake K1 on ebay. As soon as I stated the points you made in your video in the return, the return was approved in less than 5 minutes.

Sounds like an upgrade rather than a fake - a date magnifier that actually magnifies, a superior lume and no gap between the bezel and the case suggesting a better quality of production

@336W 1 year ago

I have a genuine Seiko 5 GMT SSK003 and the date magnifier actually magnifies.

Honestly fake one looks better in every category 😂😂

We sell seiko and one thing I think is worth emphasizing is that when you aren't an authorized dealer, you're stuck with whatever packaging the wholesaler sends you. So while the packaging might not be the same for each, the watch can be. However this is a good example of comparing two watches side by side, which is ultimately the best option
