I really appreciate your age-related comments on Ablation!...I am now 80, and had my first "standard" Ablation three years ago...it worked for about six months...then AFIB came back. Eleven days ago, I underwent the newer, Pulse Field Ablation procedure...and it only took around 45 minutes!...I am already AFIB-free...but of course, the "blanking period" still applies...but I feel so much better! And you are so right--it is the "quality of life"situation that is im portant here, not so much the worry about being elderly!

Had an ablation at age 76 after 3-4 yrs of increasing paroxysmal fib. It was super debilitating combined with asthma/copd. Now I’m on trelegy and tezspire and in normal sinus rhythm. All the time🎉and feeling so great for the first time in years!

I'm a Congestive Heart Failure Patient
Diagnosed in 1999
I had an I.C.D. implanted on March 27,2006
I have had heart arrhythmias the entire time and was shocked by my I.C.D. on 3 different occasions
I have an upcoming AFib Ablation Surgery in May and I'm terrified because I do have some dental problems and it doesn't seem safe to be doing such a Procedure without addressing my dental problems first
Do you think i will be ok going into surgery without addressing my dental issues first ?
Should I reschedule this procedure ?
