Personally I would not allow my 15 year daughter to go on holiday with her tutor. I wouldn't bite my tongue & would say no . Very naïve.

Sharon didn’t say something that set him off. Its ridiculous to blame the victim. He didn’t want to pay her the money.

What a sad story the woman's father should never have allowed his 16 year old daughter to start a relationship with that man

This is so sad. Her friend Paula should be ashamed of herself.
Why do couples go back to live together when they are planning to take a divorce. Very bad decision by her lawyer, too.
I can't believe that Paula wasn't found guilty.
He got only 18 years, really .

With friends like Paula who needs enemies

Lord have mercy! Six weeks? They don't really consider it a disappearance until 6 weeks? Sweet Jesus, I hope they've changed their protocol since then!

I would not have let my daughter go on a trip with a grown man. You simply say no.

a 16 year old doesn't get to make those kinds of decisions...she doesn't get to tell you she is travelling internationally. Parents obviously lost control a long long time ago, and look at the cost

That bastard should never be let out of jail 😢

My heart bleeds for her father. Losing your wife than your daughter murdered. My sincere condoleances.

The number of the stories where someone is out for the insurance money or to get someone else’s inheritance or grab hold of their finances is just disgusting.

Life with 18 years minimum that makes me wanna scream every time I hear something like that. That is not freaking life.

@jamesl9371 1 year ago

16 and travel to another country with someone twice as old? No

My heart breaks for her boys and her father, the ones left behind are affected by this for life unlike the perpetrator.

In the USA, this man would be charged with Statutory Rape because he is over 18, and she is under 18. So we have laws to protect children from predators like this creepy guy. 😢

My heart breaks for Sharon’s dad and children. Paula got away with it. She had a far bigger role in covering up the murder.

Try this case in Singapore. He would have been whipped or caned and then imprisoned FOR LIFE. In Asia, life really means life. He would die behind bars. No parole, no appeal. The only way out for him would be a long wooden box.
