Georgia born and bred and I love it—mostly—but the heat and humidity are brutal!

Moved to Georgia from South Florida a year ago. I absolutely love it. Was able to buy a house in an affordable area and my insurance went down by 75%.

I live in Gwinnett county. In 1970 the population was 75,000.
Today’s population is 1 million.

0:30 Data centers should only be allowed if they generate their own electricity and the water used for cooling should be wastewater that they treat themselves. And they should be located at least 20 miles from the nearest settlement.

I’ve lived in GA for over 10 years and it’s been good to me! It’s not perfect, but I love it here!

I've lived in GA all my life. The area that I live in now (NW Atlanta Metro) was established, but not overly crowded. Two-lane roads until you got to the interstate. Now, 14 years later, I have 4 apartment complexes 1 mile down the street from me with only slightly wider roads, and it takes me 45 minutes to get to work 11 miles away when there are no traffic incidents. When you tell people where to move to get away from the hectic scene in Atlanta, do NOT give them distance measure in time. Give it in miles. A few years ago I heard a regular on one of the AM radio shows state that the Atlanta Metro area is the size of New Jersey. Find Atlanta on a map and draw a circle at least as wide in diameter as two counties in every direction - that's Atlanta Metro. You don't begin to escape it until at least 3 counties out.

We wanted to plant a garden. We had to dig out all the red clay, shot through with quartz and various rocks, get rid of it, and replace it with many, many 40-pound bags of real dirt. We were young and had strong backs at the time.
