In 1943, thousands of German prisoners of war arrived in America expecting to see the enemy they had been warned about.

Instead, they found something completely different.

From the New York skyline and endless American farmland to hot meals, passenger trains, small-town farms, and a country openly arguing with itself, their idea of America slowly started to fall apart.
