Kirpputori — one short original story, told slowly and clearly in Finnish for beginners (A1-A2).

Elina is new in Turku and does not know anyone yet. On a Sunday morning at a riverside flea market she pays two euros for an old photo album full of a stranger's whole life: a laughing couple, a little dog called Nappi, a café with a round blue door, and one missing photograph. Who are Onni and Eeva? Why was a whole life sold for two euros? Elina decides to find out, and the search gives her much more than an answer.

The audio is Finnish from the first second to the last. English appears only in the subtitles, so your ears stay in Finnish while your eyes help you when you need them. Every scene is illustrated, so the meaning reaches you without stopping to translate.

How to get the most out of this video:
1. Listen once without reading. Do not worry about the words you miss.
2. Listen again with the Finnish subtitles on.
3. Only turn on the English subtitles when you are really stuck.

Opi suomea tarinoiden avulla: hitaasti, selkeästi ja tekstityksellä. Uusi tarina joka viikko.
