After race weekend in Charlotte, the DBC crew is back in studio with heavy hearts and somber thoughts from the passing of Kyle Busch.

Kyle’s longtime spotter – Tony Hirschman – joins the table to talk about his longtime tenure working with Rowdy. NASCAR analyst Eric Brennan also pulls up a seat at the table to discuss the weight of leading the first motorsports broadcast back on air since the news about Kyle.

I’ve been a member of rowdy nation since 2008 and was at the race on Sunday. Nowhere I’d rather have been than with my fellow race fans.

I met Tony Hirschman twice. Both times it was at the elevator to the spotters stand at Darlington. He stopped for me even though he was on what seemed to be a pretty important phone call, he told the person on the line to hang on a second and then spent a minute with me and my buddy and signed my diecast. That is a memory I will have forever

People remember Kyle Busch and his triple sweeps at Bristol but everyone forgets about him becoming the first driver to win multiple races in the same day.

I really miss kyle. He and Samantha were the cutest couple. I'm going to miss the way they express that true love in public. Like a high-school couple for years. Power couple for sure.

Talked to Eric at Salem for about a minute, it was great to see the announcer on the track. He has a great future in the booth.

This past week was the hardest week for me as a race fan, 1st Dale Sr and now 25 years later Kyle passes feels like another part of me is gone. Doesn't help that I lost my Father 4 years ago this past april, he took me to meet Dale Sr back in '92 when I was 6 he also is the reason I'm a racing fan. REST EASY ROWDY thank you for the memories

28:10 I’m a meteorologist and I can explain the lighting delay. One of my best friends and former co-workers Scotty Powell was the meteorologist on duty for the races this weekend. CMS has him for all the big races and he helps advise them. Most tracks don’t have a meteorologist in the tower but CMS does. Because of that, he was able to tell them that storm was moving away and getting weaker and it would be safe to go back racing. Scotty deserves a lot of credit for helping to get a lot more laps in this weekend than there would’ve been without him there giving advice.

I love hearing all the references to Wall Stadium. My Dad raced there in the early 70's. I really want to go back there to see a race with him.

I remember my first time at a NASCAR race. August of 2001 at IRP. I was 10 years old, and as I was walking through the midway, I saw 16-year-old KFB in a fire suit. A kid who finished 9th against grown-ass men. I'll never forget that night. I've been a KFB fan ever since. NASCAR won't be the same without him.
