I sense another organization mega-episode coming, it possibly could include 4 hours of cap screw organization.

A quicker way of centering that turn table is to put a pin in drill chuck or collet the same size as your centering hole. Pin in hole: DRO at Zero; Camp down table. Then use the same pinning method to centre the workpiece.
An alternative way to machine that carve, not using a turn table, is to simply hold a pin a vise, put the workpiece on the pin. With a mill at the side, you creep it into the part as you swivel it back and forth by hand. Add a second pin to catch it if it grabs (But you should be able to judge how far to creep in and avoid that).

The Clickspring series where he rebuilds The Antikythera Mechanism from the ground up with lumps of metal with ancient style hand tools made me feel better about the internet as a library. Also good reminder that humans thousands of years ago were as clever as humans.

Socket head cap screws would be easier to tighten than hex head.

Love the build. One method I have used to taper small round parts is to chuck it in a drill and take it to my belt sander and sand it down while spinning it. works surprisingly well.

I've just watched this video on playback 1.5, and it works so well, you're vocal timings seem to work as well. Ross Cornwall, England. Cornish thought, near Charlestown Harbour, where a few films have been made. Have appeared in the background as extras years ago. Unbelievable fun at a young age and with all my family with me. Pantos, plays, musicals etc. Love the show.
