Classic British Airways levels of communication. Fortunately you didn't make the mistake of contacting their live chat, who exist to fob off customers to the phone line, which exist to fob off customers to live chat. I think customer service is for Gold status only.

With all the tech available to the organisations nowadays is it really too hard for them to update passengers via the 'phones on the constantly changing arrangements? Not having checked in your luggage means you aren't told about the early boarding; we aren't living in the 1950's.

Nice video. It’s actually not that uncommon for flights to Gibraltar to be diverted to Malaga. It happens surprisingly often. If it’s a bit windy, normally the airport get its worse due to the rotors off the rock and due to the very short runway it doesn’t take much for planes to be unable to land! Also not surprising the flight wasn’t advertised at Malaga as it was never scheduled to fly from there but BA could have done a better job of notifying you the gate etc via the APP/TXT/email!
