Yet now that women are becoming the natural selectors again, it's shallow? When it's women who need the best quality of what a man can offer to their offspring to ensure survival? Well, once upon a time married women were…single. With that said I think that women have insight and advice no matter their relationship status. And if it doesn’t apply, let it fly.

One time me and my so called feminist husband were at a friend group get together. We didn't really know the ppl that well but were talking abt a topic. Some ppl chimed in, some listened. Out of nowhere my husband singled out a woman and said to her "So you've been quiet. What do you say about the issue?" I was so embarrassed, we didn't know her at all, she was a new gf of a guy we barely knew, she clearly didn't chime in because she didn't want to, and here my husband is calling her out in front of everyone. He really thought he ate with that. He was so proud of himself and later told me in the car "I really helped her, I could tell she wanted to speak up but felt uncomfortable." A lot of these "feminist" guys actually infantilize women. They have savior complexes. they need to be every woman's hero because at their core they believe that woman are pathetic underlings with no agency. I pointed out how awkward he made her feel and how we all were pretty uncomfortable with what he did. He wouldn't hear of it. It was so weird and unnecessary. We are now divorced.

I'm with you, Burb. I'm never gonna come out and make fun of someone's appearance, because lawd knows I ain't no Adonis. But, once they start making fun of other people about how they look, it's knives out.

I got banned from Reddit for telling how, on a date where is let him into my home, a man threatened to chop me up into little pieces. Permanently banned, can't post in any of my interests like skincare. Apparently I was being violent. SMH.

Conservative men give lip service to 'valuing' traditional women.  In reality, they obviously don't value women's contributions at all.  They routinely devalue their wife's domestic contributions AND financial contributions.  They always have some criteria that means her contributions are less than.  Progressive men engage in the same nonsense.

Absolutely they can. I've met some who said all the right words, but when you fall for it and start dating them(when they own you, in their eyes) the MAN behind the false ideals shows through. But conservatives are the same way, as you said, they respect a woman the same way they respect a dishwasher. Either can treat a woman worse than the other, regardless of which lies they pretend to believe in.

I find it strange and annoying how  single women won't listen to married women, married women won't listen to single or divorced women, but women are expected to listen to men about womanhood-and many do! By that logic, men (cis) should be completely off the list as they have never  experienced being a woman so they should never speak on that topic.

I think these guys are talking about Black women (Michelle Obama, Jasmine Guy, Lupita Nyong'o, Living Single) negatively on their podcasts to go viral. They haven't been successful in baiting Black women to hit the streets in protest. So this is getting rage-bait traffic to their social media.

In the before-times I served in the Navy, aboard a submarine. Submarines were all-men crews back then. Lots of time at sea with just a bunch of men. I've heard men say things I will not repeat. All that to say, I don't trust men as a culture. I have several men I count as friends because I've known them for decades and they never said or did anything to make me doubt them. But strangers, especially strange men in leftist spaces, I keep my head on a swivel.
