If you're in bradford its easier to buy a gun than faff about with 3d printers

Notice that the bolt didn't cycle and nothing ejected from the chamber when he fired it.

The FGC-9 is semi-automatic so it ejects the empty case and chambers a new round when fired. This didn't happen. It is a blowback operated gun which uses the recoil generated by the fired bullet to cycle the bolt backwards. As there was no bolt cycle or ejection this means that the guy fired a blank round which was primer, powder but no projectile (bullet). You can also see that after firing when they zoom in on the target there is no hole in it.

The absolute melt went through all that just to fire a blank. They were probably scared it would explode if firing a proper 9mm FMJ.

The guy in the thumbnail couldn't look more like a guy who'd 3d print a gun and go on a spree - even if he tried.

the chamber and barrel is the controlled part in the UK, not the fire control group, cycling mechanisms etc. this means you still need to buy black market parts in order to assemble one. i think the risk is really overblown, because the only people who can get hold of the regulated parts, are the same criminals who already had access to firearms and ammo from the black market 🤷‍♀

There’s a bit more to it than printing out a gun. What about the bits that can’t be made out of plastic??

10+ years ago Dispatches was a serious ground breaking programme; now it’s a GCSE Drama production

Pause the video at the 13' mark. You'll see the cartridge has a crimped end. It's a blank round, so no bullet was fired, and it didn't cycle and eject because it's recoil operated and a blank can't provide enough momentum to cycle the action. Didn't you find it a little suspicious we didn't see a bullet hole in a fresh target? So when the guy assured 'Snake' it wouldn't blow up, it was because it was low power blank round, and no bullet to split the barrel. It's not exactly honest.

Criminalising the documents is kind of pointless at this point. If someone has the knowledge and access to the resources needed to physically make and use one of these things, then getting hold of documents that are already well distributed wouldn't be a problem

Just a note incognito mode only hides your history from you. Your Internet provider still sees what you have searched, only a VPN hides it.

@royjennison3916 1 year ago

you can plainly see the barrel , and parts of the trigger are metal items and not 3D printed . ammo for this gun all the parts to make ammo are restricted . and these are not over the counter to buy . you can make a gun out of plumbers pipe . The presenter looks like he still lives with his mother and spends too much time in his bed room .

13:29 "is mine gonna make a noise like that" 😂😂😂

@dsgreat3 1 year ago

This is just total fear-mongering and straight up lies! That gun is not fully 3d printed at all. The buffer, the barrel the bolt the firing pin even the trigger are all metal. The ammunition which by the way you cant easily get hold of in the UK is also metal and not 3d printed.

@JustAGuy93-G 1 year ago

After all that I Dont think he actually fired it... There was literally no recoil and no casing ejected. A .22 LR even has recoil you would be able to see here.
