Sound of washing in Cygnus Alba twin-tub washing machine
About that machine (eng sub):
Pralko-wirówka Cygnus Alba (1962) prezentacja
Classic washing vid in that machine:
Pralko-wirówka Cygnus Alba (1962) pranie
NOTE: This is NOT a cut sample from the film, but a recording of the entire wash! The washing machine sometimes rocks more, sometimes you can hear the noise of zippers/buttons moving around the tank or impeller. Rarely (but still) other sounds may appear in the background. But thanks to this, the sound is not uniform, it is "modulated" by natural factors such as different loads or water levels. Those who have seen such a wash in their lives know perfectly well what I mean ;) It's a pity that the film cannot convey the smell, temperature and humidity...
