A Sunday at Flinders Pier, Victoria: first light, a pier full of squid, a mate who pulls his boat up to the pier for jigs ($50 each... no, $70), a quick lesson on landing squid with a gaff, then the delivery run before the Melbourne Boat Show.

Rui's tip from this morning: lead the squid flat on the surface before the gaff goes in. A squid hanging straight up slips between the prongs.
