This is one of the greatest art school live videos I’ve seen. This technique is gold!

Cindy is one of the most generous teachers!

Can’t believe we receive this professional instruction online, no motels and no travel time. Thanks Eric!!

Lima Ohio, never imagined someone started a painting this way. Exciting

If you want to keep the underpainting wet for a long time for doing very large paintings/block ins, simply use walnut oil in place of gamsol. Keeping it thin of course.

I just discovered Cindy, thanks Eric!!, and enjoyed the presentation from beginning to end. Her block-in and expressing the importance of composition points, then moving forward with creating shapes, maintaining details achieved with the block-in, then developing form & structure was captivating, along with her personality. Her technique is old world and a bit new school. Fantastic!! Thanks.

I just watched this video while on the treadmill and after muddling over Q-Tip and rubber chisel  usage on other videos, things suddenly clicked and now I'm excited to add these tips to my toolbox for seascape painting. Thank you,  Cindy and Eric.

Cindy, I use to have a cottage in Shelter Harbor, love The Rhode Island coast!  Now I live in Hawaii, am 85 years old and took a workshop with Bill Davidson and just love him.  Anyway to get down to business, I have your video and want want of yours in watercolor.  I work in all mediums and need refreshing in watercolor.  So please get crackin’.  Marion.

I love that you said, you tried to be loose, Cindy, me too.   I love the looseness of others’ work, but I just can’t seem to achieve it.   It looks so unfinished to me.   I love your work, Cindy.   I made a note of this tutorial in my art journal, and came back to it to help with a seascape I’m currently working on.   I am trying to correct the colours of the water in a cove.   Thanks so much for your generosity in providing the tips and techniques you have outlined in this video.    Newfoundland, Canada.

Cindy is an amazing artist, teacher & a wonderful lady!  I feel fortunate to own one of her gorgeous paintings, recently purchased her video & hope to one day take a workshop with her!  From British Columbia, Canada
