The oil light doesn’t come on until it’s fairly low a couple quarts. It also comes on if it’s over filled which may be why it wasn’t on before than came on after he filled it over filling the oil is worse than being a little low. But it being a Hyundai they have a class action on some of the engines and it has something to do with the oil and if it was bought new it should have 10 year 100,000 mile warranty as long as you kept the oil changed on it should be covered ether way.

“Check oil light”. Every 3000 miles or 5000 miles for full synthetic. They put a sticker on your car to tell you when the next change is. Wtf are you talking about?
