Laser DaSH-IT has taken another huge step forward.
In this video I walk through the newly upgraded Guided View and show the workflow from beginning to end. I start by generating an image, bring it into Laser DaSH-IT, process it through the new guided workflow, and show how the software helps walk you through the job instead of expecting you to already understand every photo-processing setting.
The new Guided View is being built around a simple idea. You should not have to be a photo-processing expert to prepare a great laser engraving.
DaSH-IT asks you the important questions, explains what is happening in plain English, keeps the original image visible while you work, and guides you toward a laser-ready result without making the process feel overwhelming.
I also touch on one of the biggest parts of what Laser DaSH-IT is becoming, the DaSH Intelligence system.
This goes well beyond basic presets.
DaSH-IT can use proven donor images, previous successful results, your actual laser machine, lens, material, DPI and LPI, processing choices, and physical calibration data to help make better decisions for the image you are currently working on.
I also show the new machine setup system and talk about the 0–3 calibration process.
The calibration system gives you a way to actually teach Laser DaSH-IT how your specific machine, lens, material, and setup behave in the real world.
Instead of everybody using one generic setting and hoping for the best, DaSH-IT can begin learning from your actual equipment and your actual engraving results.
That is where this gets really exciting.
The goal is to stop starting every engraving from zero.
If you get a great result, that result should have value. Your machine setup should have value. Your calibration tests should have value. Your successful burns should help DaSH-IT make a better decision the next time you process an image for that material.
I want Laser DaSH-IT to eventually make the process feel more like this:
Open your photo.
Tell DaSH-IT what you are engraving.
Tell it what machine and lens you are using.
Let DaSH-IT use everything it has learned to help prepare the image.
Then make the small adjustments that actually matter.
Less guessing.
Less wasted material.
Less time spent bouncing between programs.
More consistent engraving results.
This upgraded Guided View is another big step toward that goal.
If you want to try Laser DaSH-IT yourself, I now have a free 10-project trial available.
