This was fun. Some great quality builds for off-roading. Great to see companies responding to the demand for rigs that will outperform and outlast conventional lightweight construction.

Add Supertramp Paragon to your list.

Great video. I have an Ember over land trailer. They are also fairly reasonably priced. Plus have many great features. Might be worth looking at for people who like the off road vibes. Cheers

One more truck camper to check out it AT Overland. Very high tech, thoughtful build. Their Altera XL flat bed camper is very intriguing! Lots of thought went into that one.

Welcome to the rabbit hole of Overlanding rigs! They really are built on another level. But that's because the builders can't get away with Indiana crap build nonsense, because the owners are going to literally shake them down off road. It would be really interesting to see an inspectors perspective of these rigs. There is almost no aftermarket and especially very little inspector or RV Tech info about them (and there a lot). Most information is word of mouth on message boards.

We live in our 2020 T@B 400. We’ve replaced some of the big components but overall the trailer is a champ. Most importantly, it handles cool weather (30F-40F degrees) beautifully. The Alde system is great but we’re dismayed now because there’s a bit of a problem with the hydronic convectors which can corrode leading to possible glycol leaks. In fairness to nüCamp we’re the 2nd owners so we have no idea how well the system was maintained before we bought it. It’s going to be assessed next month. Finding a TT that can stand up to the elements in full time use and varying degrees of weather, at a lower price point, is very hard to find. If our Tacoma could pull an Arctic Fox that or an Escape 23 would be our next choice. So far, for a 7 year old camper we can’t complain!

great video Deb, but about the Tiger adventure there are points. first you said it is Tiger 240 but the camper in the video is actually their smaller model 220. tiger has awesome design and build quality but there are two downsides, the camper is rigid and does not installed on a torsion free subframe, second is that for the 220 model the headroom of the bun area is very tight.

Love intech but until you get into the biggest trailer you don’t get double axles. I think double axles are a must, especially for safety. Also with double axles and no slide you get a significant increase in carrying capacity. I have a Nash 17k off the grid model which is lifted and is totally enclosed underneath (the sol dawn had exposed tanks underneath). It is a true four season as north wood makes all their models 4 season. I have lived in below zero conditions with a similar trailer from outdoors rv and was fine. The propane heat is routed underneath to keep things toasty. That being said I would love one of truck camper combo if I was younger and had a bunch of money. This trailer isn’t for extreme off roading like the non-intech trailers you showed. Love this video, love seeing the options out there. Thank you Deb.

Hi Deb, would you mind looking into the Truck House CBR? I believe they are out of Reno, NV. They are in the $510 to $550 price range, not for everyone but beautiful construction.

@cyclestar-m57 2 weeks ago

Which one would you buy (the Geotrek)?? And where can we donate to the "Deb's New Adventure RV" fund? 😄 That EarthRoamer looks like something you could travel on Mars with....

@marshall6604 2 weeks ago

I believe the ADV is considerably higher than 200k.

Great Info! Thanks!!

Any vehicle with dual rear tires is not a legitimate off-road vehicle, it's a graded dirt road camper. And "all electric" is still not ready for prime time. Keeping a camper warm in a cold environment for any length of time with a battery power only is not viable yet. But it's great to see all of these new builders address the needs of buyers.

Comments updating as I watch:
So far pretty cool looking trailer, but the AEONrv isn't "all electric", that implies it is an EV doesn't it? That particular model (unless you are looking at a different one that's not on their site) has a 3.6L EcoBoost engine.
