my bird is healthy and comfortable because of you, thank you so much, my grandpa budgie, Lettuce, he died because of old age, 5 years of his romantic life ended because of old age, my little best friend kiwi died because of illness a year ago, he vomited constantly and whenever i lift his little head up his head just collapse to sleep, he couldnt move much and he constantly slept over and over, sigh... i just remember those times when we played tag and chase or when he used to fly to me even though i didnt even look at him, he was only just 2 years, born inside our childhood home, and then he just.... died.. i couldnt recover from his death to be honest, also my little best friend sky died because of infection around her beak, but read this.. my bird cutie, god, i swear she is the most healthiest bird we own, no seriously she went through pregnancy, illness, vomiting, housefire, experience with cats, yet she is alive, she was just sick a few days ago, and i thought that was it! she hasnt been responding to treats, she didnt want to do her favourite thing... get out of her castle and fly around the house and wreck everything down, everytime i took her out she flew back to her cage and just sat inside, she was all puffed up and unresponsive, sleeping constantly and tired, i was crying really hard, but i just put a wet tissue under her inside her concrete room, i put a clean bowl of water with her delicious treat, cucumber floating on the water, hoping for a recovery, i went and prayed for her and left to go somewhere for hours, when i came back home,, guess what? cutie was healthy and energetic, i was so so so happy, what could be the signs of recovery? can you reply to this comment so i can know what to do incase she is ill? its really important because im the most responsible of her, if she dies, i wouldnt be able to get another bird, never again, oh yeah and cutie is living her 5 years of lifetime happy and healthy, im about to celebrate her birthday this month :) my profile picture is a baby picture of my best friend kiwi !

It's difficult to spot bad signs in my birds because they just refuse to trust me even if I give them a lot of attention, it's been like that since the beginning

Diet, regular doctor check and fresh food/water

My bird just died today. I had her for 10 days and I am heartbroken but I am getting another bird to try again. I love her so much and I’m glad I gave her a happy life while it lasted ❤

Thanks for putting the word out there to help budgies!

My bird don’t speak as much

Thank you for this very hel0ful advice. I live in Australia & (by rights) please refer to Budgies as Budgerigars rather than "parrakets" which is extremely incorrect particularly as Budgerigars are an Australian native just as First Nations ppl (Aborigines) are referred as.

Apart from this thanks again for a really great post.

I have 2 male English Budgies (Squabble n Squark aka Custard & Blueboy plus my Heart Bird a rescued Pigeon who is my Universe.

I wish birds could get the recognition cats & dogs always get. One lives in Hope.

One of my budgies died a few weeks after I got him due to a stroke. He randomly started flipping out head turning sideways and wings spread out on my desk. I had no idea what to do. Tore me up. He was one of 2. I still have yellow. I think she had one like a month ago, but she’s fine now

Thanks for sharing.

Im just a kid and ive been trying hard to take care of my only 2 birds, those birds helped me with depression but one of them die from a cat and the other one escaped. My home and neighborhood is loud and my home isnt bird safe, but my parents want me to have a pet bird, and my birds are still new.+ They came in a small cage and they are girl and boy and i have the previous cage from my other two birds, should i put my new two birds in sepreate cages/Any tips?

Please somebody help I'm in severe pain, I just recently lost my heart and soul, my two beloved lorikeet and conure. I can't see from crying since yesterday when they both suddenly passed away. The pain won't go away, the worst part I don't know why the died and left me they are still so young, about 7 and 3 months old respectively, I was already depressed and losing passion in life, they were the only thing I ever cared for and loved and even lived for, I seriously don't know what to do, can't sleep, can't eat, can't even see. The only thing that I suspected might have hurt them is washing the floor in the room they sleep in the previous day, other than this I have no idea what happened to them they were in excellent health, I cared for them as my own human children, they meant the world to me. I don't know what should I do, the pain gets worse it never stops.
