i met scott at sundance festival when he came into on-mountain restaurant i worked at in park city around time of no 4 release. he had a huge pink mowhawk and my buddy was like: is that scott weiland? i closed my register and went and chatted with him about snowboarding for a few min. he spent 15 min or so doing a big STP design on my snowboard with a sharpie while he ate lunch. and he wrote: jason, be a good guy across it too. so awesome. that snowboard got stolen from my car that year. i was so honored to have met such a personable hero.

its a strange thing how people we've never personally known can come to mean nearly as much to us as dear friends and family because of how deeply their words and music touched our lives and continue to resonate within on a day to day basis, Scott is absolutely one of those people and always will be

hearing about Scott's death always makes me sad his life was very tragic i hope he finally found peace. in my opinion he's easily one of the greatest rock vocalist ever.

Core is one of the best debut albums of all time. To follow up Core with an even better album in Purple is insane.

Thanks for the video. I actually saw Scott weiland months before his death, may 2015. He was a true talent. It’s interesting to see how much his physical appearance changed from the core era to the no.4 era. It literally looks like two different people.

I fell in love with STP’s music 🎶 way back in the 1990s and still do today, rip talented one 1️⃣ Scott.

I saw STP live in 1999. They opened for RHCP. That STP performance was the best live show I’ve ever seen. By far. It was incredible.

She feels he doesn't have the accolades he deserves? Wow, the power if delusion is powerful in weak minds. He's one of the most celebrated people in music of all time.

Silvergun SuperMan is a highly underrated track off the Purple album imo.

Scott I think is my favorite singer. He truly could sing a phone book in any genre and kill it. Definitely doesnt get the respect he deserves and its so sad his voice is no longer here with us. Thankfully he left some of the greatest catalogs of art for us to listening to. Rip Scott we miss you!!

I know there are people who did Steroids have that plaque build up in their arteries. Also obese people who eat a lot of junk food have the plaque buildup. RIP Scott Weiland.. You are loved & missed.

Unfortunately, mental illness and addiction, even with so many struggling with it at this point, has an enormous stigma in society. The really sad thing is, IMO, that stigma keeps people who struggle with these issues from asking for help.

Thank you for insight on a legend. Rip scott

worked with Scott in the later years (crisis PR) and I can agree with Jamie at least on the underrated part. But Scott’s definition of “sober” was very fluid…. and in the end quite literally just meant “off H”. All the respect, but kind of a clickbait title as his tox was what it was, ya know. It’s horrible how Tommy was scapegoated in the immediate aftermath- but he died from his addiction. Make no mistake people. Addiction is something I will always HATE. But denial in the people around them can be a problem too. Those on the road with him know what’s up. And Mary did too.
RIP Jeremy & Scott

I've heard many people talk about The Stone Temple Pilots but have never attempted to listen. After your review/ story of their leader, I'm gonna definitely take a listen man. Great video, and info man
